Support citizens' initiatives for quality public services and accountable local governance Decentralization of governance structure with devolution of authorities of services delivery to local governments comprises the core of local governance initiatives of Nepal government. The region has also witnessed a significant progress in terms of improving access to basic services such as primary education and reproductive health care facilities, and other services provided by local governments. This strategic objective aims to promote partner communities' initiatives to ensure accountability of the public service providers and facilitate their active participation in the local governance process.

Social accountability and Right to Information (RTI) are two important activities/tools to facilitate active citizens' involvement in local governance and services delivery. We work on following strategic interventions to promote initiatives for quality public services and accountable local governance.
